Reverend Carl C. Liggin
The Rev. Carl C. Liggin, Founder and Executive Director of Liggin Ministries in Louisville, Ky., a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and introducing individuals to the spiritual teachings of Jesus Christ. Rev. Liggin has dedicated over 50 years of ministry in leadership to the African Methodist Episcopal Church worldwide.
He started a community center in Alcoa TN, along with his wife of 52 years, Lois Jean Liggin, who passed away in February 2010. He pastored in Louisville, Ky., and other Tennessee churches in Clarksville, Alcoa, Memphis and Fayetteville, before returning to his hometown in Louisville, to pastor at St. Paul AME Ky. While there, he started Liggin Ministries with his son, Fredrick Liggin, and now has over 50 graduates/participants who are pastoring or holding Christian leadership roles today.
Rev. Liggin is the father of four birth children plus four foster sons, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of others extended members that he has adopted into his family.
